Psychotherapy with Janna
ABOUT ME
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counseling Associate (MC61468088) and I completed my Masters in Forensic Mental Health and Counseling from John Jay College - C.U.N.Y. in New York City. I practice psychodynamically and psychoanalytically.
My passion for growing with others and connecting with people led me to the field of psychotherapy. The unique connection between a therapist and client is a special dynamic where, together, we can experience the possibility of relating to our world differently.
MY PHILOSOPHY
Psychoanalytic and psychodynamic based therapy is a healing practice rooted in the belief that past experiences, unconscious thoughts, and internal conflicts significantly shape behavior and emotional well-being. With my guidance and curiosity, together we will bring forward what feels inaccessible and embrace its meaning and impact. By addressing the underlying forces within rather than focusing solely on symptoms, lasting resilience and emotional clarity have space to develop.
Services and Fees
I offer individual psychotherapy. Sessions run for 50-minutes and clients are seen at a minimum of once a week, with the option to increase sessions. I prefer in-person sessions located at my office in Seattle, WA. I offer virtual sessions on a case-by-case basis.
I also offer couples and family therapy. Sessions run for 50-minutes and clients are seen weekly. Similar arrangements apply for individual therapy; in-person is preferred but virtual meetings can be accommodated.
I do not take insurance and clients pay out-of-pocket. My rate is $140 for an individual session and $160 for a couples or family therapy session. I can draft a superbill to be submitted to insurance for potential reimbursement.
