Psychotherapy with Janna

ABOUT ME

Smiling woman with dark hair wearing green dress and gold earrings, standing outdoors with greenery in the background.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (MHC.LH.70001206) and I completed my Masters in Forensic Mental Health and Counseling from John Jay College - C.U.N.Y. in New York City. I practice psychoanalytically.

I began my career in community mental health, working with adults from a wide-spectrum of backgrounds and unique challenges. Now in private practice, I continue treatment with people from all walks of life.

In efforts to remain aware of my biases and shortcomings, I continue my education and personal growth outside of session time.

MY PHILOSOPHY

Psychoanalytic and psycho-dynamic based therapy is treatment rooted in the belief that past experiences, unconscious thoughts, and internal conflicts significantly shape behavior and emotional well-being. Alongside psychoanalytical theory, I remain engaged with ever growing de-colonial and queer/feminist orientations.

Together, we will bring forward what feels inaccessible and embrace its meaning and impact. Treatment is a process of exploration and venturing into new territory with company. Though I do not know what your process will entail, I look forward to joining alongside you and coming to better understand where you have been and where you are going.

Services and Fees

I offer individual psychotherapy. Sessions run for 50-minutes. I prefer in-person session at my office in Pioneer Square but I can accommodate hybrid sessions.

I take Premera Blue Cross and Anthem insurance. For those outside of these insurance policies, my rate is $150 for an individual session. I can draft superbills to be submitted to other insurances for potential reimbursement.
